This day had it all. Sunny start followed by rain, freezing rain, some snow, fog, and constantly changing conditions to keep riders on their toes. The women's field was deep and Phoebe stepped right up and stomped smooth back side three over the big side, clean noes grab and linked a tech rail section. When the smoke cleared she placed a very respectable 7th just .5 out of the final and locked up her spot in the Grand Prix for next year.
The boys heats were no exception and the young guns were spinning like tops. Mikey and Chris both put together solid 7 to 7 runs but ended up just off the cut. Joe and Hunter put on show with big cab nines and bs 7's that qualified them 1 and 3 into the final. With weather changing it was anyones game. Both boys had to go to their second runs and couldn't keep it clean enough to find their way onto the podium. They rode tough and the conditions were gnarly, and they should be stoked on their riding. All the boys locked down their spots in next years Grand Prix slopes and are primed and hungry for tomorrow's pipe!
